ABOUT PAULA

Paula Barr is a world-renowned photographer, represented in museums and art collections. Her headshot career began when a major bi-coastal agency asked her to develop a clean, fresh, edgy ‘New York’ look. That was more than 5 years ago, and the Paula Barr signature look has continually evolved to stay on the leading edge of the industry.  Paula refers to her photographs as "celebrity portraits" where there is more of “you”- your character, your unique psychological makeup - in the picture. She believes that simplicity, timelessness, and and a focus on character are the hallmarks of a beautiful and functional headshot. Whether shooting in color or in black and white, Paula chooses to work in the classic and versatile medium of film.

Paula loves to work with those shooting for the first time, working actors already developing their careers, and celebrities who call a shoot at PaulaBarr Studio, “a day at the spa”.
